Compared with the rest: 32 pieces against 21 and 18
| Set | Pieces listed | What the listing shows | Aimed at |
|---|---|---|---|
| JUAUO Kawaii Mochi Squishies | 32 | Split into 14 animals, 10 dinosaurs, 8 fruits; TPR rubber listed | Party bags, class prizes, stocking fillers |
| SINZUX Kawaii Mini Animal Mochi | 21, from the title | Animals only; data sheet shows 4 x 4 x 3 cm and 180 g, probably the packaging | Gifts and small rewards |
| ENTHUR Mochi Squishy Toys | 18, from the title | Mini animals; title also mentions Easter egg fillers and party favours | Egg hunts, goodie bags |
JUAUO is the largest of the three and the only one that spells out how its count is divided. The other two give a number in the title and a general theme, which leaves you counting on arrival.

How we tested the JUAUO set
We tested the set the way a buyer can before the box arrives: the listing read line by line, the five images looked at one by one, and the whole thing compared with its neighbours. Here is what held up, and what only the box can settle.
Counting the pieces
The listing says 32 pieces in various shapes: 14 soft animals, 10 dinosaurs and 8 colourful fruits. 14 + 10 + 8 makes 32, so the numbers agree with each other, which is not a given on lots of this kind.

The shapes the listing names
Only a handful of shapes are named: rabbits and tigers among the animals, a Tyrannosaurus rex among the dinosaurs, grapes and strawberries among the fruit. The rest of the 32 is left to the box.
Words from the listing we did not pass on
The material line carries a safety claim and a wellbeing claim. Both are the seller's wording, and nothing in the listing backs either with a standard, a marking or a report, so we treat neither as a finding.
Specification table
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Number of pieces | 32 (listed) |
| Split | 14 animals, 10 dinosaurs, 8 fruits (listed) |
| Material | TPR rubber (listed) |
| Texture, as described | Soft, floppy, bright colours |
| Cleaning, as described | Neutral detergent or soap; baby talc if sticky after drying |
| Sizes in the data sheet | 2 x 3 x 3 cm, converted units, probably one piece |
| Age | Not given in the listing text |
| Marking and maker's address | Not named in the listing text |
The data-sheet size is the only measurement on offer. Converted units are often wrong on these sheets, so check it against the pieces before you plan around it.
Three themes, three very different shares
| Theme | Pieces | Share of the set | Named on the listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Animals | 14 | 44% | Rabbits, tigers |
| Dinosaurs | 10 | 31% | Tyrannosaurus rex |
| Fruits | 8 | 25% | Grapes, strawberries |
Why the split matters when you share the set out
Animals make up almost half the lot, fruit only a quarter. Share the set among eight children evenly and each gets four pieces, but the fruit alone will not stretch to two apiece.
A note on mixed themes
The listing says the mixed themes suit boys and girls playing together. We would drop that sorting altogether: it is a set of three families of shapes, and any child or adult can have any of them.
What the listing text does not say
| Point | In the listing text | Check on arrival |
|---|---|---|
| Age | None given | The age printed on the box or leaflet |
| UKCA or CE marking | Not named | The marking on the box, leaflet or tag |
| Maker or importer | Not named | A postal address on the packaging |
| Size per piece | One data-sheet figure only | The smallest pieces, before giving them to a young child |
| Smell | Nothing said | No chemical or petrol-like odour when you open the bag |
| Condition | Nothing said | No crack, tear or sticky patch on any piece |
Why the marking matters on an unbranded set
A UK safety report dated 10 August 2026 on a different squishy, a liquid-filled bun, found no product identification and no UKCA or CE marking and did not meet the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011. Nothing we read names this set; it simply shows why the box matters.
Age and small pieces
A German consumer body (Verbraucherzentrale, 7 October 2026) advises against any squishy for a child under 3, and French authorities (DGCCRF, 10 August 2026) say to check the age on the packaging. With 32 small pieces, the smallest shapes are the ones to set aside.
Where it sits among squishy types
| Type | Idea | This set |
|---|---|---|
| Mochi | Small, soft pieces sold by the lot | The core of it, and the word in the title |
| Kawaii | Cute shapes: animals, fruit, food | Rabbits, tigers and fruit fit here |
| Slow rising | Foam that creeps back to shape | Not claimed: the listing says soft and floppy |
| Taba | Larger stretchy gel or silicone piece | A different family |
If any of these words is new, what is a squishy lays out the families. Anyone who wants a slow return to shape should look at slow rising squishies instead.
TPR rubber, as the listing puts it
TPR stands for thermoplastic rubber, a family of materials rather than one recipe. The listing names the family and no more: no composition, no filling, no supplier.
Sharing out 32 pieces
| Occasion | Handout | Result with 32 pieces |
|---|---|---|
| Class of 16 pupils | 2 each | All 32 used |
| Party of 10 children | 3 each | 30 used, 2 spare |
| Advent calendar | 1 per day for 24 days | 24 used, 8 spare |
| Egg hunt | 1 per egg | 32 eggs filled |
| Stockings for 8 people | 4 each | All 32 used |
The listing itself names party bags, candy bag fillers, class prizes, stocking fillers and Easter basket fillers, plus Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and New Year.

When 32 is too many
For a table of five or six, three quarters of the set stays in the box. Keep the spare pieces for a second occasion rather than handing them all over at once.
When you want one particular shape
The assortment is fixed and the listing offers no way to choose. For a present with a named animal on it, a small themed lot is a better route, and squishy gift ideas goes through options by recipient.
Care, as the seller describes it
- Wash a dirty piece with neutral detergent or soap, as the listing says; how to clean a squishy gives the careful method.
- If the surface stays sticky after drying, the listing suggests a little baby talc.
- Throw away any piece that cracks, tears or smells of solvent or petrol.
- Never heat a piece: no microwave, radiator or hot car.
The last line is not a formality. Authorities in France and the UK have reported burns and bursting after squishies were heated, and a children's hospital in Glasgow published a warning. Our guide to squishy cautions collects the sources.
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
- It suits an adult filling party bags, prize boxes or a calendar who wants plenty of pieces in one go.
- It suits a teacher or club leader who wants a lot with a stated mix of themes.
- It does not suit anyone who wants one named shape or a collector's piece.
- It does not suit a child under 3, or a purchase made without reading the age and marking on the box.
- It does not suit someone after a slow return to shape, since that is never claimed.
Verdict: 7.1 out of 10
| Criterion | What we found | Mark |
|---|---|---|
| Contents | 32 pieces, split stated and consistent | 8 |
| Variety | Animals, dinosaurs and fruit | 8 |
| Gifts and prizes | Generous count, fixed assortment | 7.5 |
| Listing detail | No age, marking, address or piece size | 5 |
The JUAUO set earns 7.1 because the count is clear and the mix is wide, and loses points because the listing gives you almost nothing to check. Read the box when it arrives, then hand it out.
Frequently asked questions
Does the listing give the size of each piece?
Not in the text. The data sheet shows 2 x 3 x 3 cm, which looks like one piece, but converted units are often wrong, so measure the pieces yourself.
Do these pieces rise slowly after squeezing?
The listing calls them soft and floppy and never uses the words slow rising. Treat them as soft rubber pieces, not as foam.
Can I pick which shapes I get?
Nothing in the listing offers a choice. The 14 animals, 10 dinosaurs and 8 fruits come as a set, and which shapes sit in each group is left to the box.
Is it a toy for adults too?
Nothing stops an adult keeping one on a desk, but the listing is aimed at children's parties and prizes, and it gives no adult use.
What if the box shows no UKCA or CE marking?
Treat it as a warning sign. Ask the seller to explain, keep the pieces away from children and consider returning the set.
Why is the age missing from this page's fact sheet?
Because the listing text we read gives none. Read the age printed on the packaging and follow it, rather than guessing from the photos.
Is baby talc necessary?
The listing suggests it only when a piece is still sticky after drying. A piece that stays tacky or leaves residue is a reason to set it aside.
How does it compare with a plush toy?
It is a different object: pieces of a few centimetres in rubber, against a stuffed toy in fabric. The Squishmallows review on this site shows the other end of the range.
