The taba lots here are small sets of 1 to 8 pieces. The mochi sets on the mochi squishy page come in lots of 18 to 120, so the two are bought differently even if some titles borrow the word.

Silicone in the title, TPR in the features
GWAWG is the clearest clash: “handmade silicone” in the title, “TPR soft rubber” in the text. SSKHE lists both silicone and TPR without saying which part is which. A material word from a seller is a claim, so the pack and its marking are where to look.
PVC and goo are not the same as TPR
XIMISHOP names soft PVC, and Lunule names a goo filling. Both are different from the TPR of four other lots, which is a reason to read the care wording and the age on the pack rather than assume the lots behave alike.

Lunule says its eight designs are fixed, so you know what the box holds. XIMISHOP says assorted dessert shapes and names five of eight. MushyKinz varies by pack, with a glitter piece in only some of them.

Age: no listing gives a number
None of the nine listings states an age as a number. The age and warnings are on the packaging that arrives. German consumer centres advise against any squishy for a child under 3, because pieces can be swallowed or torn off, and say that a squishy without an address for the manufacturer or importer is a warning sign.

A piece that comes apart is retired
franceinfo reports that the casing of a gel-filled squishy can tear when kneaded hard and the gel can run. The Lunule text names a goo filling, so the caution is worth keeping in mind. A cracked or torn piece is retired, whatever the brand.
Stress wording on seven of the nine
Seven listings sell their taba as a way to ease stress or worry, and one speaks of sensory therapy. We make no claim about such effects, so none of it appears in the tables. A product sold as anti-stress is described as sold that way, and no more.

- Cute, cheerful and collectible are fair descriptions of a design. Calming and curative are not.
Taba lot or making kit?
SSKHE’s text calls its four finished pieces a kit, which can mislead. A real making kit supplies materials to mix or fill, and the listing sets age and adult supervision. Those belong on squishy kits.

The cautions that apply to any squishy
- Never heat a squishy. The DGCCRF asks people not to copy videos of squishies in a microwave, and reports bursting and burns.
- Check the age on the pack and the UKCA or CE marking, plus the manufacturer’s or importer’s address.
- Smell the piece on opening. The Dutch authority NVWA tested squishies after reports of a chemical, petrol-like odour.
- Stop using a cracked piece.
- The products named in the European and British alerts are dumplings and buns; none of these nine lots is among them.
The authorities have warned about a small number of products so far, and the Verbraucherzentrale stresses that not every squishy is dangerous. The checks above are still the ones they give.
Frequently asked questions
Is a taba squishy the same as a fufu squishy?
In practice, yes. Six of the nine titles use both words for the same kind of small, soft piece, and the listings do not explain any difference.
Are taba squishies sticky?
Two texts say so: MushyKinz calls its pieces soft and sticky, and BOXOB calls the stickiness moderate. The other seven are silent, so the pack and the first touch are the guide.
Which lot offers the most designs?
Lunule and XIMISHOP both hold eight pieces. Lunule fixes its eight designs, while XIMISHOP names five and says assorted.
Can a taba squishy be washed?
